The Paris SBDC is part of a greater network that is connected to the North Texas SBDC. We are a three-part government grant organization, funded by the US Small Business Association (SBA), a higher education institute Paris Junior College, and the State of Texas. Our advisers bring practical experience from professional backgrounds to assist you with your business. Education and training backgrounds include: accounting, financial analysis, loan structuring, marketing, and business planning.

 

Brad Prock

Brad joined the Paris SBDC June of 2024! Brad is a seasoned Business Operations Executive with an extensive background in Finance/Accounting, Information Technology, Project Management and Operations Management. With over 30 years of business experience, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision across diverse industries. Brad has overseen multi-million-dollar budgets, and driven profitability through disciplined planning and innovative solutions. He is a champion of process improvement utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to identify problem areas and implement meaningful changes. Also, as a former Small Business owner, he understands the challenges associated with starting and operating a small business. Brad has a Degree in Economics from Texas A&M University.

Martin Orrostieta, Business Advisor, BS, morrostieta@parisjc.edu

Martin Orrostieta joined the Paris SBDC April of 2022!  Martin has a background in small business lending and formerly a small business owner himself.  His 10 years’ experience in banking helped familiarized him with various industries and organizational forms. Along with his entrepreneurial experience, Martin serves on the board of Hispanic Professional Association of Tyler. He previously worked with SCORE at both the regional and National level helping chapters in various states. Martin studied International Business, with a Bachelor in Science from Johnson & Wales University, where he completed a state recognized Leadership program and served as a Fellow for the El Pomar Foundation

 

Mitchell Scott

Mitchell Scott, Business Advisor, BS, MS, mscott@parisjc.edu

Mitchell joined the Paris SBDC March of 2024!  Mitchell Scott received his Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M Commerce in Computer Science and Business, he also received is Masters in Management from A&M Commerce. After his education, he worked in Aerospace & Defense for 35 years acquiring skills in project management, financial management, human resources, quality control, and systems engineering and information technology. He retired from his first career in 2018 and worked with his daughter managing her dental practice in the North East Texas area.

Trinity Davis, Administrator, AS, BBA, MBA, tdavis@parisjc.edu

Trinity Davis joined the Paris SBDC January of 2024!  Trinity is a recent U.N.T. alumni with multiple years of experience in administration and over three years specifically in human resources. As a born and raised North Texan, she attended Paris High School, receiving her Associates in Accounting from Paris Junior College, and received both her Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in Human Resources from University of North Texas
